Blended Introduction to Adult Echocardiography

Details: Our Blended Introduction to Adult Echocardiography course is designed to provide a strong foundation to perform and/or interpret adult cardiac ultrasound examinations. The program is taught by leading echocardiography experts and combines 8 months access to our online course of comprehensive lectures and 5 half days of live scanning at our facility in St. Pete Beach, Florida. The scan workshops feature a 3:1 hands-on ratio using live models for the most hands on scan time. This activity has been approved for 39 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ and 18.5 hour(s) of ACEP Category 1 Credit.

Echocardiographic Symposium at Vail
Dates: July 24-27, 2017

Details: This symposium is a comprehensive review of state-of-the-art echocardiography, cardiac CT, and MRI for a wide variety of cardiovascular disorders.  We will emphasize new technologies and how to use imaging information for the care of your patients. Integration of Echo, CT, and MRI and their incremental value in clinical cardiology will be highlighted.  An additional focus will be on the role of 2-D and 3-D echocardiography in guiding interventional therapies. CEUS: Basic Training for Novices
Dates: September 9, 2017
Location: Thomas Jefferson University | Philadelphia, PA
Details: The recent approval of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) for abdominal imaging created an urgent need for practical, hands-on training for novices. ICUS is filling this need with a package of three Basic Training programs featuring multiple ultrasound systems and contrast agents. Live demonstrations and break-out sessions, combined with expert didactic tutorials, will help novices learn how to determine optimal settings, inject contrast agents and correctly interpret CEUS images. This program will provide practical skills needed to implement a successful CEUS program. 8th Annual Fetal Echocardiography: Normal and Abnomal Hearts
Dates: October 5-7, 2017

Details: The course provides detailed information on the evaluation of the normal fetal heart both from an anatomic and functional approach. In keeping with progress in this field, detailed information on the use of three dimensional ultrasound in fetal echocardiography and cardiac imaging in the early gestation is presented. The course also provides comprehensive evaluation of various cardiac malformations, involving abnormalities of the cardiac chambers and the outflow tracts. Echocardiography Best Practice in Patient Care and Clinical Trials: When to Use Multi-Modality Imaging

Details: Echocardiography has become an essential tool for all clinicians involved in managing patients with known or suspected heart diseases. Echocardiography is also widely used for clinical trials in assessing cardiac function and hemodynamics as an enrollment criterion and/or an end-point. Therefore, it is critical that echocardiography techniques and measurements are standardized for best practice and reliable clinical trial result. The first part of this 4 day meeting will focus on the use of echocardiography and other imaging modalities for valvular heart disease and heart failure. The basic and the state-of-the-art echocardiography practice will be presented in lecturers, workshops, and live demonstrations.
