The IAC does not endorse nor guarantee the content and relevance to echocardiography in meeting the CME requirements. Please note: Due to an increased need for echocardiography techs to be cross-trained, several noninvasive vascular courses are also listed below.

ASE 28th Annual Scientific Sessions
Dates: June 2-6, 2017
Location: Baltimore Convention Center | Baltimore, MD
Details: Join us in Baltimore for the 28th Annual Scientific Sessions of five days of learning from experts in the field of echocardiography. The American Society of Echocardiography designates the 28th Annual ASE Scientific Sessions for a maximum of 29.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for attending the entire conference.

Mayo Clinic Echocardiography Review Course for Boards and Recertification
Dates: June 10-13, 2017
Location: Mayo Civic Center | Rochester, MN
Details: This course is specifically designed to prepare attendees taking the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE) certification examination. It has a focused emphasis on the NBE examination format, ultrasound physics, 2D and M-Mode, hemodynamics, valvular heart disease, ischemic heart disease, heart failure and cardiomyopathies, pericardial disease, congenital heart disease, and newer imaging techniques. Mayo Clinic College of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 30.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

CEUS: Basic Training for Novices
Dates: June 17, 2017
Location: University of Calgary | Calgary AB, Canada
Details: The recent approval of contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) for abdominal imaging created an urgent need for practical, hands-on training for novices.  ICUS is filling this need with a package of three Basic Training programs featuring multiple ultrasound systems and contrast agents. Live demonstrations and break-out sessions, combined with expert didactic tutorials, will help novices learn how to determine optimal settings, inject contrast agents and correctly interpret CEUS images. This program will provide practical skills needed to implement a successful CEUS program. Blended Introduction to Adult Echocardiography
Dates: July 17-21, 2017
Location: St. Pete Beach, FL
Details: Our Blended Introduction to Adult Echocardiography course is designed to provide a strong foundation to perform and/or interpret adult cardiac ultrasound examinations. The program is taught by leading echocardiography experts and combines 8 months access to our online course of comprehensive lectures and 5 half days of live scanning at our facility in St. Pete Beach, Florida. The scan workshops feature a 3:1 hands-on ratio using live models for the most hands on scan time.

Echocardiographic Symposium at Vail

Details: This symposium is a comprehensive review of state-of-the-art echocardiography, cardiac CT, and MRI for a wide variety of cardiovascular disorders.  We will emphasize new technologies and how to use imaging information for the care of your patients. Integration of Echo, CT, and MRI and their incremental value in clinical cardiology will be highlighted.  An additional focus will be on the role of 2-D and 3-D echocardiography in guiding interventional therapies. Vascular Ultrasound Training Course

Details: This 3-day Vascular Ultrasound course is designed for sonographers, echocardiographers, interventional technologists and physicians seeking intensive training on the essential aspects of vascular ultrasound. This course provides an opportunity to complement the professional’s existing skills with non-invasive vascular examination techniques. The Medical Technology Management Institute designates this live activity for a maximum of 18 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Hawaii Heart: Echocardiography and Multimodality Imaging Case-Based Clinical Decision Making
Dates: January 28-February 2, 2018

Details: This course will review the technical issues of echocardiography as well as CT, MRI, PET, and nuclear imaging as they pertain to cardiovascular disorders. An expert faculty will discuss the relevant advances in techniques and the limitations of each modality.
