Beyond the benefits related to quality, there is the value associated with the perception of being an accredited facility. However, to truly experience this benefit, steps must be taken to market the distinction. Facilities are encouraged to explore the wide range of opportunities for promoting their accreditation status. In today's information age and era of savvy health care consumers, the general public has begun to understand the importance of looking for evidence of quality, as it relates to their medical care. News-oriented television programs, along with mainstream print media, have spotlighted inadequate diagnostic procedures and brought the need for quality in these fields to the public's attention.

Accreditation Certificates

Accredited facilities automatically receive two (2) copies of the accreditation certificate(s), noting the testing area(s) in which they are granted accreditation. The certificate bears the facility's name and the expiration date and can be used as the facility deems appropriate. Often facilities like to frame the certificate so they can proudly display the certificate in their office. Read the information below to learn more about ordering a plaque to proudly display your certificate. To order additional copies of the certificate ($25), complete the Additional Certificates Order Form available below and return it with payment to the appropriate division (Vascular Testing, Echocardiography, Nuclear/PET, MRI, CT/Dental and/or Carotid Stenting), 6021 University Blvd., Suite 500, Ellicott City, MD 21043.

This attractive walnut plaque includes a plexiglass cover to protect and highlight the accreditation certificate. An excellent format for showcasing your accreditation to all patients and visitors to your facility! Ordering the certificate plaque is optional. The cost is $40 per plaque.

Seal of Accreditation

The Seal of Accreditation has been designed specifically for use by IAC accredited facilities. In February 2012, the IAC unveiled its new Seal of Accreditation available for use by IAC accredited facilities (samples below). The seal is now available in color and black and white. Each IAC accredited facility should have received a new certificate package via postal mail in mid-February containing instructions for obtaining the new seal.

Need a new copy of the Seal of Accreditation or have questions on how to use it? Call 800-838-2110 or e-mail Julie Kincaid at jkincaid@intersocietal.org for assistance.

Press Release & Media List Form

Within the certificate packet sent to each accredited facility, a press release is provided, along with a form on which the facility's staff supplies the names and addresses of local media. As a service to each accredited facility, the IAC will send a personalized press release to each of the indicated media. Accredited facilities can also download their press release and media form from the online marketing kit located in the secure Online Accreditation portal.

Promotional Door Clings

As another way to draw attention to your laboratory’s accreditation, the IAC now provides two complimentary door clings (sample pictured) to each accredited facility, as part of the certificate package!

The door clings, (5"x5"), are vinyl, non-adhesive decals that cling to any smooth glass or plastic surface. Additional copies of the official IAC door cling are $5 each.
