David A. Orsinelli,
MD, FACC |

David A. Orsinelli, MD, FACC serves the ICAEL Board representing the American College of Cardiology (ACC). Dr. Orsinelli has been a staff echocardiographer at The Ohio State University Medical Center since 1991. He is currently a Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Orsinelli received his MD degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1983. He completed his residency at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1986 and also held the position of Chief Medical Resident at the hospital from 1986-1987. He completed his cardiology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worchester, Massachusetts, in 1991, where he also served as Chief Fellow from 1990-1991.
Dr. Orsinelli is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology as well as an active member of several organizations including the American Society of Echocardiography, American College of Physicians and the American Heart Association. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for the Ohio Chapter of the ACC. Dr. Orsinelli has been a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography, American Heart Journal, Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology and Heart and Lung (The Journal of Acute and Critical Care).
He has also been an abstract reviewer for the American Heart Association on many occasions since 1999. He has delivered many lectures at local, regional and national meetings around the country. Dr. Orsinelli has co-authored many peer-reviewed manuscripts, review articles and book chapters.
