The Release of the 2010 ICAVL Standards Print this page

As an accreditation organization, the ICAVL is expected to maintain a program that balances the changing needs of both the noninvasive vascular community and the general public by improving the quality of patient care provided. The ICAVL Standards are the most important component of that commitment. Composed by physicians, technologists and sonographers from the ICAVL sponsoring organizations, the Standards are critically reviewed by the ICAVL Board of Directors and revised every two years.

Key Revisions to the ICAVL Standards

The 2010 ICAVL Standards become effective August 1, 2010. Laboratories may apply using either the new Standards or the 2007 version for a period of three months. Applications submitted after November 1, 2010 must be in compliance with the 2010 ICAVL Standards.
