Board News: Changes in IAC Leadership
As part of the 2008 IAC merger, the IAC Board of Directors was restructured to serve as the primary governing entity of the IAC, overseeing all business and accreditation processes for the organization.
The contributions made by these volunteer leaders have been monumental as they guided the IAC through the extensive process of restructuring. They were the key decision makers on issues that will benefit each one of the IAC accreditation divisions for years to come, while elevating the mission of accreditation.
In Recognition and Thanks
|
The IAC extends tremendous gratitude to the inaugural Chairman of the IAC Board, Rita Shugart, RN, RVT, who concluded her tenure as Chairman on March 8, 2010.
Following the completion of her term as Chairman, Ms. Shugart is succeeded by Kevin Kett, MD, who will serve as the IAC Chairman until 2012. |

The IAC also thanks three members of the original IAC Board who also finished their terms in March and were recognized for their outstanding commitment to leading the IAC through its merger and maintaining and improving the process of IAC accreditation.
They are Ramon Castello, MD representing the ICAEL; Gary Heller, MD representing the ICANL and Edward Martin, MD representing the ICAMRL.
Replacing those members are new IAC Board members Sue Abreu, MD representing ICANL, David Kost, RT(R)(MR)(CT) representing ICAMRL and Geoffrey Rose, MD representing ICAEL. |
