Celebrating IAC: 20 Years of Laboratory Accreditation

In 2010, the IAC celebrates 20 years of service. The significance of this milestone anniversary does more than remind us of all that the organization has achieved; it serves to further reinforce the importance of IAC accreditation and its impact on the quality of diagnostic imaging laboratories throughout the United States and Canada. Today, the IAC remains dedicated to its mission of imaging accreditation, dedicated to recognizing laboratories that demonstrate the commitment to be their best, and ultimately, dedicated to a partnership rooted in quality patient care.

But 20 years is only the beginning of what we can accomplish together.

Turning the corner into 2010 allows the IAC to look forward to its next 20 years. The IAC continues to improve, evolve and grow through its exclusive dedication to reorganizing and establishing value driven, quality standards through collaboration with professional medical membership organizations and to providing peer review accreditation. The Board members and IAC staff look forward to bringing you future program enhancements such as continuous updates to the Standards and ongoing upgrades to the application process.

Guidance through the process will be even further enhanced; through instructional webcasts, live webinars, increased online communications such as e-mail and our brand-new online IAC newsletter, the IAC is reaching out to laboratories more than ever. Laboratories can also look forward to a fully redesigned, comprehensive IAC website in the months ahead. More details are forthcoming in the summer issue of the IAC Newsletter.
