The
Essentials and Standards are divided into six areas.
All laboratories must complete the Organization section. Laboratories
may apply in any combination of the other areas, as suited to
the services offered by each laboratory.
The
Organization and Extracranial Cerebrovascular sections were
revised in March 2002. All other areas were most recently revised
in January 2000. The most recent version of all documents can
be found here. These are the documents that laboratories must
use when preparing for accreditation.
Please
note that the following documents are the Essentials and
Standards for accreditation. The application for accreditation,
along with all materials necessary to complete the accreditation
process, must be ordered from the ICAVL.
